Beal PTO 13th Annual Family Dinner Night

To all Beal Families;

The Beal PTO will be hosting its 13th Annual Beal Family Dinner Night on THURSDAY, MARCH 28, 2013.  Each classroom at Beal selected a theme for our classroom basket raffle.  This year, our classroom, has chosen the "Lotsa Lego" theme.  This raffle basket will be filled with anything and everything lego.  This is always one of the biggest hits at the dinner.  I am asking for donations starting anytime you see this blog post.  Our classroom would love to fill our basket with Lego building sets, Lego Creator sets, Lego City sets, Lego friends sets,  Lego accessories, Lego videos, Lego books, Lego coloring books, Lego games, and other Lego themed toys,  etc.  Again, we will be glad to take anything and everything that has to do with Legos.  You can either send your child in with your donation, or you could drop them off yourself.  If you find that you are too busy to go shopping, and you just want to buy a gift card, I will gladly use the gift cards to buy Lego stuff that has not yet been donated.

Check out the Lego.com website for all the wonderful products that they have to offer.  The site may give you some great ideas about what you would like to donate.  Just click on the picture below to visit the site.

The Beal PTO works really hard to make this fundraiser a success and they count on all the parents to help fill these baskets and make them so wonderful that many families will buy raffle tickets in order to try and win the basket.  Please remember that the donations should be new and not used.  I want to thank you in advance for your help in making this years fundraiser for Beal School a huge success.  If you have any questions, please send me an email and I'll be sure to find out the answer for you.

Thank you again!

NEW FREEBIES!! Check out my Freebies Page

I just uploaded a ton of new math FREEBIES.  I even threw a reading game in there.  Most of these need two dice to play... Make sure a parent reads the directions and please email me with wish any questions.

There are a bunch of 100 year olds in Kindergarten....

Today is the 100th day of school.  I challenged my kiddos to come into school dressed as if they were 100 years old.  They did AWESOME!!  Along with dressing up, we participated in many 100th day activities.  We built a tower with 100 cups, we wrote about what we would do with 100 dollars.  We also stamped 100 times and made a picture with 100 dots.  Mrs. T did 100 exercises with the kids, and they worked together to make a picture with 100 popsicle sticks.  Some of the other activities we did were; writing 100 words, writing numbers to 100, rolling to 100, and drawing our 100 year old self portraits.  Take a peek at the pictures of the children exploring with the number 100.

Tomorrow we will be celebrating the Chinese New Year.  Stay tuned to see what we learn.  If there are any parents who would like to come in to talk about the Chinese New Year or read about the Chinese New Year, send me an email and we will find a time this week.  The only issue that may arise with this is if you have a CORI or not.  If you don't have a cleared CORI, you cannot come in to be with the class.  Sorry.  If you are unsure if you have a CORI, please contact the office and they will be sure to let you know.

Enjoy the pictures from the 100th day!
